Just the one though. Coincidence perhaps? Or perhaps not? Perhaps it's a sign. They sound somewhat similar I'll agree with you on, but definitely differentiatiable (it's a word!). I don't think it's fair to be comparing these bands to each > other, and I totally don't think it's fair to be comparing them to Creed > (Creed is out of their league, well, except maybe Tantric :-)). > The Calling and Lifehouse are in a different genre to Creed. They're both more AOR IMHO (Collapsis aswell. Note the I). Quite similar to each other I'd agree on though. They toured with each other I believe last year. Creed, OTOH, are just out 'n' out rock. I've only really heard 2 or 3 songs by Tantric, (breakdown & astounded). Was Hang on to this by Tantric or DOTN? BD was pretty good, but astounded sounded pretty much the same to me, and after that I couldn't be assed to venture any more into their music. > I mean guys, think about it for a sec. And gals. People really can't change the way they sing. You've obviously never been grabbed by the bollocks while singing then!? They sing in > baritone, because that's the way they sing. I beg to differ. There's a world of difference between 'ripping off' and being 'influenced by'. The singer's may all sound a bit similar, but the a world of difference between some of the bands, music wise, and as a whole. All of these arguments just because the lead > singers sound similar, not based on their music. I personally love both > Creed and Pearl Jam (they're in my Big Four of all my favorite bands. Someone who is really into X type of music hopefully can tell the difference. > I know that when I try and sing, I'm told I sound like a strange > (retarded, if you will) mix between Eddie Vedder/Scott Stapp/Hugo (sorry, I > forgot his last name)/insert a baritone singer here and Kurt Cobain. This occassion though I think it stands for Now Playing. btw, NP (now playing btw!) Anthony Sica - Sixes and Sevens.
