No denying the talent. I just have a problem with artists who suffer from the "rock god" syndrome. I don't know Travis personally, but I know several who do quite well. The similar thing can be said for another huge artist from the area (I won't say who for fear of a flamefest) - a family member lives near me and has been to his home and parties on a number of occasions. The size of his ego is in direct relation to his talent....

The sad thing is that none of our circle wants to attend any of his events - because of the B.S. that goes on in the name of success. Real shame.

But I still respect both of these as artists and musicians. It is just a lot more gratifying when they are talented AND down to earth. For example: Cy Curnin, Rupert Greenall and Jamie West-Oram from the FIXX. A great bunch of guys who will go out of their way to meet and greet their fans.

Anyway enough of this OT :o)

It is no surprise that Travis is on his own as no one can work with an ego as large as his.

The size of his ego is in direct relationship to the size of his talent.  He was far more talented than the rest of the guys in the band, and has proven that he can make an incredible album, no matter what musicians he uses to back him up.  However, I'm quite fond of the current lineup.
