It's a site typo, if you read the rules, the correct dates are mentioned : )

To enter, print your name and address on the official entry form or place
your name, address, and phone number on a postcard and mail it to Guitar One
Giveaway, P.O. Box 2007, New York, NY 10156-2007, or enter online at
www.guitaronemag.com beginning December 29, 2001. Entries must be received
by January 21, 2002. Enter as often as you wish (limited to one entry per
day), as each entry must be separately postmarked. Cherry Lane Magazines
LLC. ("Sponsor") is not responsible for late, lost, or misdirected mail. The
winner will be drawn at random on or about February 28, 2002
